Designed for the absolute beginner, this 4 day intensive course teaches you basic silver jewellery making skills and techniques, such as sawing, filing, soldering, forming and roller printing to achieve various textures and finishes. You will design and make your own jewellery pieces, beginning with a simple silver ring, with the option of making a brooch, pendants or earrings for subsequent projects. The course is held in JamFactory’s Jewellery and Metal Design Studio by skilled tutors enabling you to learn jewellery making skills and techniques in a professional studio environment.
No prior experience required. All necessary tools and materials are supplied including enough silver to create two projects, and copper for practicing different skills and techniques. For more complex or ambitious projects, you may choose to purchase extra silver if desired.
