Level 2: Silver Jewellery Making | 7 WEEKS
Please note that all short course participants (from 2022 onwards) must be fully vaccinated in order to attend class, unless a medical exemption applies. A covid-19 vaccination certificate or proof of medical exemption from SA Health must be supplied upon enrolment (upload above).
Improve your skills and learn new techniques in silver jewellery making under the guidance of a skilled tutor in a professional studio. Students will be introduced to hydraulic pressing to create three-dimensional forms with compressive force, learn how to create a brooch/pin, and make a simple bezel stone set pendant. This course is designed for students who have completed the beginner’s course or have prior knowledge of jewellery making.
All necessary materials are supplied including one cabochon stone, bezel wire, a square of sterling silver sheet and wire for findings. You may choose to purchase extra silver in addition to these if desired. Completion of our Introduction to Silver Jewellery short course or basic jewellery skills essential.
