Open Woodworking with Adrian Potter | 8 WEEKS
Designed for prior students in JamFactory's furniture program, in this eight-week studio access course, participants will have the opportunity to refine their understanding of woodworking skills and processes through the making of independent projects. Projects can include small furniture items such as side tables, stools and chairs and sculptures; incorporating techniques such as carving, inlay, marquetry and more.
Students will be guided through the design and construction of their own projects under the tutelage of renowned Australian furniture maker, Adrian Potter. With access to JamFactory's well equipped furniture studio, this course gives students the rich learning experience developing their own self-driven unique work in timber.
Adrian Potter's career in designing and making with timber spans many decades. He has extensive professional teaching experience at TAFE and Universities with a focus on helping beginners gain the confidence and skills they need to enjoy their craft.
Skill Level: A range of experience levels from beginners to advanced students are welcome, however participation in a prior woodworking class at JamFactory is required.
Materials and Class Requirements: Students will have access to the tools and equipment in the JamFactory furniture studio, however please note that you will need to supply your own materials/timber.
