Working primarily with blown glass, their work explores the relationship between historical forms, decorative craft and contemporary glassmaking.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eLily is drawn to pattern, textiles and folk art, and how, like glass, these practices and traditions carry knowledge passed down through generations. She explores these influences through Murrini, colour, pattern and form, referencing historical vessels and traditional techniques. It is a labour of love to endeavour to hone the craft of glass. When she makes, she questions ‘how can I not think of those who came before me?’. Those who dedicated themselves to teaching new generations of glassmakers and continuing the long-standing traditions they too inherited from their predecessors.
