Silversmithing Intensive with Gretal Ferguson | 4 DAYS
Learn the ancient technique of silversmithing by raising a copper beaker or cup in this four-day intensive course. Students will learn to raise a flat copper disc into a vessel by compressing and forming the metal with hammers and steel stakes. All materials are supplied including a 150mm x 1mm copper disc for forming your beaker. All skill levels are welcome from complete beginners to experienced jewellers; please note that the forming process requires some patience and a basic level of physical ability due to the repetitive hammering involved.
