About the Artist
Yuro Cuchor was born in Slovakia, where he studied Ceramics & Stone Restoration and later established his own ceramic business. In 2006 he migrated to Australia and studied Visual Art at the University of South Australia, majoring in Painting & Sculpture.
Yuro works with many varied materials including ceramics, laser cut acrylic, LED lights and optic fibre. By combining these he is creating provocative sculptural objects looking for balance and harmony between natural and synthetic materials. His other passion is designing ceramic functional ware in elegant, simple geometric lines.
