I Grew Sage In My Garden
I Grew Sage In My Garden by Bindi Nimmo
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bindi Nimmo is a glass artist from Whanganui, Aotearoa, currently practising on Kaurna Land.
Working primarily with blown glass, Nimmo explores themes of nostalgia and human connection through tactile, memory-driven objects. Her work draws on organic and otherworldly forms, balancing technical rigour with experimental approaches to surface and form. To let someone love you is to invite them into the garden of your soul, a place you have sown and tended throughout your life. Love carries a quiet magic that can coax flowers to bloom even in the darkest corners.
Some relationships fade, shift, or end, and the home you found within a person can disappear. Yet what was grown there doesn’t vanish. The seeds remain - flowering, year after year - living reminders of growth, tenderness, and what once was.
