Purple Mallee Earrings
Purple Mallee Earrings in oxidised sterling silver by Victorian artist Tammy Lacy
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Tammy Lacy completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Jewellery and Metals at Monash University in 2007, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in 2008. Since graduating, Tammy has been teaching and refining her creative practice which has a strong ethical and sustainable focus with an emphasis on recycled materials.
Tammy’s jewellery is an abstract representation of the tiny elements that exist within the natural landscape around us. Predominantly using recycled sterling silver, her work is meticulously hand crafted and inspired by the flowers, leaves, seedpods, and gumnuts that she finds on the forest floor surrounding her studio. Tammy’s considered design approach and high attention to detail allow her to delicately pierce and drill into metal to create beautiful botanical inspired objects.
