Suitable for participants with prior glass-blowing experience, this 5-day intensive masterclass will cover the fundamentals of pulling canes, from single-use canes to secondary use in twisting and a host of pattern-making. This class will focus on making canes, picking up canes and producing simple forms through repetition, as well as improving and honing skills in the use of all cane work. Students will twist varying cane designs, and run through the process and mechanics involved in picking up various cane designs.

Participants will need their own hand tools (a small selection will be available for use). Some colour will be supplied (with additional colour available to purchase on the day) but students are encouraged to bring their own as well as images of canes they are interested in and/or would like to know how they are achieved.
