ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Tara Lofhelm is a jewellery designer and maker based in Melbourne, Australia, who has a serious passion for promoting and participating in the handmade contemporary jewellery movement. Her aesthetic is influenced by many varied sources, including travel to exotic locations, texture, colour, or simply the physical properties of the materials she works with. Her work is one of contrast, as are the ideas that inspire it.

The processes and techniques she uses to create her jewellery – twisting, stamping and embellishing – result in hand-formed, one-off pieces. Her high attention to detail sees her create quality pieces of simplistic beauty, which belie their considered design approach to functionality and wearability.
