ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Leonie’s craft-based studio practice is on Kaurna land, where she works out of Central Studios. Leonie has a Bachelor of Applied Arts from the University of South Australia, and is a graduate of the JamFactory Metal Design Studio Associate program. Her making results from a practical and resourceful approach, where the discarded, collected, and stored are valued, waiting to be useful. Her work is in the Art Gallery of South Australia collection, and in 2017 and 2019 her works were acquired by the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery from the Contemporary Wearables Award.
