ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Ceramicist and maker Sophie Horvat creates functional tableware and statement vessels using wheel throwing and hand building techniques. Sophie strives to create pieces to be used and cherished by others. Her practice is inspired by handmade traditions as well as colours and textures within the Australian landscape near her home.  The land on which she lives and makes is the traditional country of the Kaurna people.
