ABOUT THE ARTIST

Renee Becker is a Jeweller and maker from Naarm (Melbourne) now practicing on Kaurna land out of JamFactory. She works primarily with silver using traditional jewellery making techniques. Her practice is guided by her cultural and sentimental attachments, exploring materiality and memory.

This collection of works playfully blends functional jewellery with sculpture, using monochromatic silver to explore light and from. Walking the line between jewellery and object, this collection compliments the wearer when on the body and exists as a small sculptural object off the body.
