Wedged Tenon Step Stool | 1 DAY
Create and take home your own solid timber step stool in this fun and intensive single-day workshop held in JamFactory's Furniture Studio. Pieces will be constructed with wedged tenons (a visible form of joinery that creates an exposed end-grain in the stool-top) for a sturdy and unique piece.
Students will be guided through the process of marking out their wooden components, how to shape and prepare their pieces with a combination of hand tools and machinery (including hand planes, drills, saws and table routers) in order to create precise and sturdy joinery with wedged tenons, as well as sand, polish and oil their finished pieces for a smooth finish.
All tools and materials supplied. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.
