Children's Workshops at JamFactory Seppeltsfield

Imagine a world of castles, dragons, and daring adventures as you create your own medieval masterpiece!

Bring along your cardboard castle if you've made one in the Cardboard Castles workshop, or choose from a collection of castle models and reference images provided on the day. Artist Deb will guide you through fun and easy drawing techniques as you explore paint, pastel, and charcoal to capture towers, turrets, drawbridges, dragons, flags, and all the magical details that make every castle unique.

Then let your imagination take over! Add brave knights, fiery dragons, mysterious forests, or even a friendly giant to create your own castle story on paper. Experiment with colour, texture, line, shading, and expressive mark-making while building confidence in your artistic skills.

This workshop is perfect for young artists who love to draw, paint, and imagine. If you've already built a cardboard castle, it's a wonderful opportunity to use your own creation as inspiration—but everyone is welcome, whether or not they attended the earlier workshop.

This workshop is suitable for children aged 5 years and over (guardians and caregivers are also welcome to book in and participate). All tools and materials will be supplied; students will go home with their own collection of cardboard creatures.
