ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ciara Steggerda is an emerging artist and jeweller from Naarm (Melbourne). Through a combination of ancient and contemporary handcrafting techniques, Ciara investigates how these methods mark the time and identity of the maker. Her talismanic forms seek to materialise comfort, protection, and ritual.

This collection is an iterative reimagining of historic jewellery forms, combining ancient and contemporary aesthetics. Crafted in sterling silver with 9ct gold and gemstone accents, the pieces employ traditional fabrication techniques to highlight materiality and the passage of time. Each work incorporates kinetic movement inviting touch and interaction with the wearer.
